AV Studio stretchable tapestries are designed as modular elements that can be used on their own or integrated into larger geometric installations.
Each tapestry is made from flexible lycra and finished with an elastic band around the entire perimeter. Attachment loops are placed approximately every 20″, allowing the tapestry to connect easily to triangles, diamonds, hexagons, petals, frames, truss, poles, and other support structures.
The artwork is applied using dye-sublimation printing with UV-reactive inks. The print becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting as a separate surface layer, helping preserve the flexibility of the material while producing vivid colors in daylight and a strong fluorescent effect under UV lighting.
Choose between:
- Regular lycra – suitable for private events, temporary installations, festival camps, photo sets, and other applications where certified fire resistance is not required.
- Fire-retardant lycra – NFPA 701 certified for venues and professional productions that require compliant decorative fabric.
Because the fabric stretches, the final dimensions and shape can be adjusted during installation. The perimeter loops make it possible to tension the tapestry evenly, create curved or layered surfaces, and combine it with other AV Studio elements without permanent hardware.
