Trip to Gili Air Burning Island 2016

Several days ago we’ve come back from Burning Island 2016 (do not confuse with Burning Man haha). The party took place on Gili Air – a small island in Indonesia about 2 hours boat trip from Bali. Really cool experience I should say :) Below are some pictures my wife took. Enjoy!

We’ve been to Burning Island in 2014 and was one of the best memories from our first 7-month trip to Indonesia. This time we stayed much closer to Lucky’s bar where the festival took place and it was so much better than the last time when it took about 20 minutes to walk to the stage. And this time there was no music from 4 am to 9 am to give a break to local people so we could even get a good rest.

The other important thing about this festival is the fire show. Guys from the Pirates Retreat make a great performance!

Lastly here are my backdrops decorating the bar’s roof from the inside. Still available for sale ;)
