Tranceformation psychedelic party flyer

Hey people! As you might have already noticed I have a strong connection with Earth Star gatherings – a group of talented people who create psychedelic trance events in Cork, Ireland. Their next party is called “Tranceformation“. So I’ve decided to transform some human garbage into a electric dragon. Within the post you’ll find the flyer itself, background, sketch and some stock photo’s I’ve used.

This artwork is a mixture of photo-manipulating techniques I’ve used to create the lower part of the illustration and digital painting for the dragon. Here is the list of stock images (you can click every image to get to it’s page on sxc.hu):

The fractal below was the base for the dragon. First I used Liquify filter to sculpt the creature’s form and then I was using regular brush with a small (5-10px) diameter to add the lightning bolts all around the body.
